How does VPL technology work?
VPL emits a beam of variable pulsed light on to the skin. The light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and turns to heat energy. The follicle is heated to a temperature which alters the cells structure and stops the hair regeneration.

IS VPL completely safe?
This revolution of hair removal and skin rejuvenation is non-invasive and protects the skin by using exactly the right wavelength of light for each clients skin ton.
How does it feel……will it be painful?
A slight warm tingling sensation best describes the feeling experienced during a VPL treatment. This is minimized by a special cooling gel applied to the skin just before the treatment starts. Each VPL device works by emitting a strong, bright light on the skin. To protect your eyes, both you and your specialist need to wear anti-glare eye shields during treatment.
After the treatment some people experience a slight reddening and warming to the skin, especially on more sensitive parts of the body. A soothing gel such as aloe Vera, witch hazel or a cold wet flannel can be applied to calm the skin and help any redness subside naturally and quickly.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically a total of six to eight individual treatments are required, usually carried out at four to six weekly intervals. However, each individual varies and will be discussed during consultation period.
