1 Lombard Street opened in 1998 and has been noted as one of the City’s top dining rooms ever since.

The brainchild of ex-banker Soren Jessen, together with Chef Partner Herbert Berger. 1 Lombard Street is set in a Grade II listed neo-classical building directly opposite the Bank of England.

Open from 7.30am to 11.00pm every weekday, and for lunch and dinner on Saturdays, 1 Lombard Street has an established reputation as a firm City favourite offering guests a traditional brasserie, bar, and highly acclaimed fine dining restaurant, with a luxurious private room called the Red room.

Leading the kitchen is multi-award winning chef Herbert Berger, who has attracted great acclaim over his forty-year career. Herbert’s modern European menu includes irresistible favourites such as Suprême and fricassée of blackleg chicken with cream of morels in vin jaune, alongside delicious, nutritionally balanced dishes such as Grilled organic Hebridean salmon with Thai aubergine caviar, ginger, lime and wasabi vinaigrette.
